Here's important information for families to prepare their students for success.

Open House for Families

Families are invited to visit their classrooms and hear information from the teacher.

  • 1st grade: August 13 at 6:00 p.m.

  • 2nd grade: August 14 at 5:00 p.m.

Dress Code

Our mission is to implement an elementary dress code that prioritizes students’ comfort fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment. This dress code is designed to minimize distractions ensuring that every student can focus on learning and personal growth while expressing their individuality within respectful and appropriate guidelines.

Notice of any special day dress exceptions will be communicated in advance to students and parents in writing or by call-out. Granbery and MNPS are committed to providing a safe and secure environment. In addition, a proper learning atmosphere is essential for the education of each student.

Student attire must not take away from learning and cannot be distracting or offensive to others. Parents of students who are dressed inappropriately will be contacted. School leadership reserves the right to change the dress code with proper notice at any given time.

School Supplies Drop-Off

Families are invited to drop off school supplies and see the classroom on Friday, August 1 at 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

  • This is a come and go event, so drop in at a time that works for your family.
  • This event is not a formal meeting with teachers, but rather a time to see the classroom.
  • Adults will not be permitted to walk children into school the first day of school, so please plan to come to this event to see your child’s classroom.

Supplies List by Grade

For the 2025-26 school year, Metro Schools will be providing school supplies to all incoming Kindergarten students. They will be distributed on the first day, August 5.

If you would like to and are able to donate to our Kindergarten wish list, we would greatly appreciate it!
